Blue eyes in the palm of my hand, what do you see when I clench my fist? Blue eyes in the soles of my feet, what do you see what I walk on water?
We have so many limbs, phantom feelings, ghosting sins; disappear out a window like smoke, but still you're here in my clothes, my hair, my lungs. They can see you behind my eyes, yes, we are, I am, too. Blue eyes in the palm of my hand, face to face - tell me what to hold on to. Blue eyes in the soles of my feet, tell me where to stand. They can see you behind my eyes, yes, we are, I am three, we are two. I am nothing without you.

I like living by the sea x2
These hills trip me up, at least I'm not moonless
I like living by the sea x2
All this polite company, we are not moonless
I like living by the sea x2
Even in the fog I feel her tides pull on me I'm not moonless
Useless
Rootless
Ruthless
I get stressed 'cause I'm a mess
I lose my way, I get so moonless

Oh baby, you can't fight fire with fire if you're gonna fight blind
- you'll get burned every time.
I know you want to burn the bridge while you standing on it
- fall into the river and hope you survive (and not care) (and half care)
but we don't have the time for this.
Pick yourself up off the floor, wipe your tears away.
You're a trite repetition of someone somewhere.
And your feelings are real, but they're not original.
Why does that devastate you so much that you want to die?

We don't have the energy
We don't have the way to save me
We don't have a way
to give
to give ourselves to another
without taking
without taking their energy x3
We steal their voices
We steal their choices
to anoint ourselves in the oils of a family tree
(We don't have the energy)
Sap is softly weeping down the bark
- everybody knows that part when you feel like
maybe you have broken
something you should not have touched

I’ll tell you the truth another day
When I’ve learned to rephrase it another way
I’m embarrassed you’ve seen me pray
But I needed to ritualize the hopelessness
In a way that felt familiar
Confer on me patience, no no no
As we remain still, hoping (re)/(dis)covery appears
This will to change overwhelmed by years
What time do I waste while I wait to feel safe?
I read the words of gilted gods
Who cast art, all art, into shadows of falsehood –
hostility to life,
life is art
is life deception
is it pretension
Then tendons bend when we kneel to the stories
Take our hands off of the organ keys
It wasn’t in our melody

I thought I knew then what I know now
I won't laugh at the naiveté
I won't disrespect myself like that
Anymore
My lungs are greyed
A so called wellness
The world does fade
And I'm not quite ready
To feel unmade
To step into consciousness
When I'm afraid
To leave the house and not
Hallucinate
Feel degraded
Tired and fated
To disintegrate
Hold me together like I'm not falling apart
I feel so humiliated

Diana I’m fading
Turn me into mist
Diana its failing
They turned the oak to grist
Arethusa streaming round my feet
To escape their violence
Oh Diana, we have honeycomb mouths
Born of bees
Lips swollen with their sting
Lungs expanding
vocal chords are buzzing
sweet wordless mother tongue
The croziers of the youngest ferns
Oblique fractures,
Opaque disasters
Labradorescent patterns
What has made us
Immiscible?
Red jasper and anemone
in her palm
stretched to the night
She embroidered the
stars in your eyes
Gave you thirteen sides
We dismissed the choirs’ nine
No virtue, no domination
We were pure mercury
Like the bow and arrow
Diana I’m fading
Turn me into mist
Diana its failing
They turned the oak to grist
Arethusa streaming round my feet
To escape their violence

At last disintegrated into the sands of time
and when I finally vitrified, iron blood and heart of lead;
I came together densely, held myself so tensely,
all the light refracting off me. Optical dispersion's exhausting.
I don't have my own light, just a frozen drop of earth.
Hollow fulgurites reaching.
I cut so easy, I shatter so cleanly, I ring high notes clearly.
All the things that make me worthwhile make me so fragile,
make me so unstable, absorbing mixed emotions like infrared radiation.
Use my blood to tell the time, steady pumping through me.
Lean closer so you can hear the Tower of the Winds whispering.
I'm the water thief stopped with wax, am I fulfilling my purpose?
Holding my breath, my tongue is the tail of the snake
- and if you bite, we can come full circle tonight.
The places we touched in midsummer,
the places we stick to each other in sleep.
All the things that make me worthwhile make me so fragile,
make me so unstable, absorbing mixed emotions like infrared radiation.
Use my blood to tell the time, steady pumping through me.
Lean closer so you can hear the Tower of the Winds whispering.
